Does Amazon's random pricing piss anyone else off?

So, I'm shopping for a few items -- trying to find a few items to reach $25 to get free shipping and the price on everything keeps changing.

Are there any tricks to locking in on the low prices as they fluctuate?

I've been browsing off and on for a couple days and just as one item goes on sale, the other goes full price... and vice-versa

Today everything is full price.

It's really pissing me off!

I'm just guessing here as I don't shop Amazon but couldn't a lot of that have to do with the fact that much of amazon's catalogue comes from 3rd party companies that they just list for?

Until Amazon's pricing models and algorithms are public information, my advice would be to buy the items you want after they go on sale and before they go back to regular price.
