Does Amazon.com charge tax when I order a local pick up item from CC?

Hi, i have a question for you:

I am looking at purchasing the Onkyo Home Theater Package. I was wondering if I ordered through amazon.com and choose local pickup from circuitcity, would I still be subject to local tax(8%) ?

Yes. I have done it a few times and been charged TX sales tax each time.

If your CC charges tax, then you will pay tax.

of course. hey guess what? if theres sales tax on purchases in your state you have to pay the sales tax even on out of state mail-order purchases!
