Its not that easy to see for me when I look at the motherboard manufactures homepages, so is it just in general all P35 that have 1.1 support?

Don't know about in general but my Abit IP35 Pro for example only has 1.0 and 1.0a support in BIOS. I assume it does not support 1.1.

IP35 Pro will run an 8800GT just fine though. I know this for a fact.

All P35 motherboards are PCIe 1.1. Your Abit IP35 Pro's BIOS just has the capability to force the PCIe slot down to 1.0a, for compatibility purposes. There's a screenshot of that, at the bottom of this page.

Thing is, I saw that option in the BIOS, but it only had force compatibility to 1.0 and 1.0a, it did not have 1.1 option or "not force compatibility" option that would indicate that motherboard supports 1.1. Of course I may be wrong, but that's what BIOS says.

The bios option is called PCIe Compliancy Mode. As mentioned by myocardia, all P35 mobos are PCIe 1.1, this bios option allows the mobo to be compliant with older PCIe versions.
