Does AGP graphics card affect the performance of a PCI video capture card?

I am currently using a Dimension 8200, 512 MB PC800, Intel 2.0 GHz, GeF3 Ti200 with a Pinnacle Studio Deluxe video capture/editing system.

I plan on purchasing a new graphics card and putting the old GeF3 Ti200 card into a new AMD machine.

My question -- Should I invest some money and buy a Quadro NVS card (the NVS 200 cards are actually pretty cheap)? Will this enhance my video editing experience? Or should I just upgrade to a Ti4200? (i.e. is the PCI card is doing all of the work without maximizing the capabilities of the AGP card?)
 
If you're just a hobbyist editing home videos and such with one monitor, no, the video card will not make much of any difference other than in 2D image quality (The GeForce 4 series would probably be sufficient for that). But if you plan to do any serious effects work or composting a high end card like the Quadro can offer some benefits. Either way, you might want to consider a dual monitor setup, as it makes video editing a lot easier.
