Advil contains Ibuprofin, not aspirin, same as many other products containing that very same Ibuprofin. Advil is just a name (that you pay dearly for...

Learn to read the ingredients listed on the side.
Some over the counter medications are compounds of different medicines, espcially cold / flu/ hayfever meds.
Advil = Ibuprofin
Common Aspirin = Salicylic Acid

I believe "Aspirin" is/was a trademark owned by the BAYER Corp. but has since migrated into common usage.

As has been posted, no, but sometimes Advil will produce certain bad reactions in people who have problems with aspirin. That said, why do you ask?

its an analgesic and closely related, along with ketoprofin and naproxen sodium, but again, no. tylenol isn't related to aspirin.
