Does a week 24 differs from a Week 28 C2D 6600?

Im reading some posts in Xtreme Systems about some week 28 Conroes 6600 can be overclocked to 4ghz, now I want to know if a Non Overcloked Week 24 Differs from a Week 27/28 one? or do you only see the difference if you overcloak them?

Non-OC E6600s perform the same across the board no matter what week they are. But if you're not gonna OC, why buy a Core 2 Duo?

that what i would say...im actually thinkin of gettin a new e6600 and seeing how much better it overclocks compared to the one i have now....i want to get at least 3.8 with a core 2 duo...i sounds like it is possible with the week 27s and 28s

My current pc is a P4 1.8 so I think its a great upgrade from that, since it would speed up my Video Editing and rendering projects.
