Does a VCR and the Video Input on my Radeon give me a TV-Tuner??

Well...I'm urgently wanting to move up in the world to Windows 2000.
Only problem there is that my ATi TV-Wonder has no Drivers for Win2k yet.

So as a (hopefully temporary) work around....
If I have a Radeon 64MB Vivo...I'm thinking, I take a VCR and hook up the Coax cable in line to the VCR, set the VCR to output through the RCA cable, hook up the RCA cable to the Video in on the Radeon...and Voila! I have a Cable signal on my monitor.
Question is: Would actually work? Or am I just nuts :p

I am pretty sure that it wouldn't work... the VCR most likely doesn't have a tuner built-in :(

all the vcr's I own(4 right now) have tv tuners. It should work. I think that ati said there would be no win 2k drivers for the rage chips.

You mean the TV-Wonder chip? or what? Isn't Rage their old line of gfx card?

You didn't get it already did you? :)

Your idea will work, provided the VCR has a tuner, and (obviously) RCA output.

LMK how it works out.

It should work but you would have to change the channels through the VCR, as only one channel at a time goes over the RCA connection.
