...it sits at room temp for 7 hours? I forgot to stick it in the fridge and I would like to eat the other half when I get home.

7 hours is a long time. At exponential growth cycle occurring approximately every 15 minutes, you could be in for a good time.

Yes there was, but very little. Serious answers only please, but I did get a cackle out of the sniff/woman convo.

we frequently leave sandwidtches out at work. Some times 5-6 hours at a time (leftovers from meeting)

I munch on them.

There's a 50/50 chance I'd eat it. I dunno. Seven hours is a long time. Though I did eat 15 hour old pizza for breakfast.

Ok I just got the munchies and just chomped it down. Was still good to me, but only time will tell...

Edit: It was sitting for about 5 hours at time of consumption.

Are we going to see a thread like: "YAMedicalT: Serious food poisoning! I think I'm bleeding inside my chest."?

I dunno how I feel, if there was no mayo I'd eat it, but what is a turkey sandwich without mayo? 7 hours is borderline for me, I certainly wouldn't eat anything that's been sitting out for longer.

Any meat that is left at room temp will double it's bacteria content every 4 hours.

Go from there . . .

I'm still alive, and I feel OK today, despite the fact that I'm only running on 5 hours sleep...

I wouldn't eat it. I think I read somewhere that tha longest you should let something sit out is 4 hours.

And according to a Wal-Mart CBL, once something hits 40F, bacteria starts to reproduce rapidly.
