Does a Super Orb fin on an Epox 8KTA+?

Board and Duron 650 are on the way, just deciding if I should get the Super Orb with my blue Orb, or if I'll need to go with a FOP38. Anyone with either setup, please let me know what you've achieved. Thanks.

I don't know if blue Orb or super orb will fit in this mobo or not.

However, just a word of advice......

Instead spending extra $30 your HSF, you could have just get a Duron 800 or T-bird 750 using "average" HSF and do the "minor" OC....

You could also just get one of the Taisol heatsinks from the group buy DaYooper has put together for $13 US (including shipping) which will fit on the board, and will easily get you higher speeds and lower temperatures than the Orb...

I thought about the group buy, but then add in the cost of shipping to Australia, and the Super Orb comes out cheaper, believe it or not.

TimeKeeper,

The cost of the Super Orb for me would be $33AU (about $17.50 US) which is a little higher than the price difference from the Duron 650 to the Duron 700. The Duron 800 or the TBird 750 with generic heatsink would have cost a bit more. Believe me, that is the route I would prefer (but it's also less fun). My Celeron 433 doesn't like 83MHz FSB so I didn't get far with this current setup. Thanks for the replies so far, anyone with the board got any input?

I have the EP-8KTA2 and an Alpha. At best there is only about 10mm between the back side of the socket and all those large capacitors. Hope that helps.
