Does a speakerphone exist that does not suck!

Now I have a headache from trying to understand people on the damn speakerphone!! :|

Every goddamn little noise causes the gain to ride up and down, muting cuts in and out. This is brutal! They can make a stupid mp3 player the size of a stick of wrigley's yet speakerphones still do this. This is intolerable!

Muting? You need a full-duplex speakerphone, with active echo-cancellation on each side. Something like they use professionally for office conferences and the like.

They supposedly have all that but methinks the satellite propgagation delay plays with it.

Simple fix for that. THAT'S NOT MY JOB THOUGH!

Can you tell I'm just a little bit FRUSTRATED?

Surprisingly, "they" can also make cars and electric mixers. Even more surprisingly, those have about as much in common with a speakerphone as an MP3 player.

Meridian is what we have.

The phones are great and durable. Boy are they durable. 🙂

Maybe its the noise? I dunno.

Anyways...

we use the amazing polycom speakerphones for the conference room. they are like $600 each. the offices have lucent phones with decent speakphones.
