Thanks. A question: your sig says "SK-7". What's up with that? ;) The SLK-800A is bigger than the SK-7. Hey, it's your sig....don't shoot the messenger. ;) :D

:)

Here's a pic of the slk900a beside the slk800. The 'A' version of the slk900 is redesigned from the U version so it fits on more mobo's. The fins are just more contoured.

But, it's also more moola.

Ah, the beauty of all-copper heatsinks. :) Just a sight to behold *sniffle* :)

I'm hoping the SLK-800 cools a little better than my trust old AX-7. No slouch itself, the AX-7..it's massive as well. Just in my quest for quietness...combined with massive overclocking...I need a "little more."

Umm just because i don't have one doesn't mean i don't know whether it fits or not. It's called general knowledge. Nice 'try' at a 'smart' answer though, lol.

In addition, the SLK900a attaches with a clip to the socket, while the 900u bolts through the 4 holes on the mobo.

I see in beatle's pic that the corners aren't cut out on the sk800. I just got one(still at a buddies house) to put on a giga400pro. Am I going to have any problems with it?

i actually switched from an ax-7 to slk-800, and it was a nice improvement. a couple degrees for sure.
