Does a RJ45 to RJ11 wire exist? or RJ45 jack adapter? (SMC barricade)

This is what I need using my existing 56k hookup and the router.(all rj45 jacks)(external modem=rj11) DSL available later this year.

I am not sure that what you are trying to do is a viable solution.

If you have and external modem you can hook it to the DB9 modem entry of the Barricade. You can not insert a Modem to the WAN input even if you have the right plug, it will not work, and it can damage the Hardware.

Thanks Jack. I think I confused myself and you. All I need to connect from the modem to the router is the 9 pin serial cable, not the phone line, rite?

RJ-11(from Tel. outlet) to RJ-11 (om Modem).

Modem Ser. output(DB9, orDB25)to Ser. in on Barricade (DB9).

Have a nice Weekend.
