Wanna build a puter with more than 4GB RAM, but those 2GB sticks are frickin expensive.

Does such a beast exist?

Normal desktop boards? No. Some workstation boards have 8 though, I think, and I saw an alpha server once with like 20.

Why would you want 4GB on a desktop anyway? If you're running some kind of highly intensive simulation work or video editing or something, maybe you should think about farming it out to several boxes, or get a proper workstation.
