I want to buy a motherboard and a CPU. i don't demand much from the comp or the resolution, it's 1366x768
I don't want to buy a graphics card and there is an Integrated Graphics Processor-Intel® HD Graphics support. do i need a CPU with a graphics card?
What does the chip on the motherboard, does it only connect the graphics card, whether it's in the CPU or stands alone, to the HDMI etc. connectors?
If i don't want to insert a separate graphics card, then, i understand, i have to buy a CPU with one inside, right?

You need a motherboard with display outputs and a CPU with integrated graphics to avoid having to use a discrete graphics card.

Useless historical info:
Before graphics processors were integrated to CPUs, they were integrated to the northbridge, ex. with Intel LGA 775. So back then, yes, the motherboard "has a graphics card".

You can go either Intel or AMD, both offer solutions with IGP's. I actually prefer AMD as their GPU's as way better than anything Intel has right now on the market.

So something like the R3 3400G or the cheaper option with the 3200g. Though with intel you can get pretty much any cpu with IGP. You want the 9500, its got IGP.

So yeah, you want a higher end cpu that has an igp, go for intel, if you are looking in the lower end segment, then amd has the advantage.

Just a note, the modern Intel CPUs, with an 'F'-suffix, DO NOT have the integrated graphics on-die functional. That means, that if you bought the cheaper i5-9400F model, as opposed to the regular i5-9400, you WOULD NOT get the benefit of the iGPU, and would have to get a discrete video card. Much like with Ryzen CPUs. (You need an AM4 APU to take advantage of AM4 motherboards' on-board video outputs. Not a CPU.)

Yes you have.
Not trying to derail your question, something like this but a desktop board would be great for all the amd and intel cpus that sells without integrated graphics:

As you will notice, the board we are seeing is the S8015AG2N-860. This has the embedded Radeon E8860 graphics under that large heatsink.
