Does a low 12v line affect overclocking?

I have a Sparkle 350W PSU and Asus P4533-V.

I'm actually confused about the status of my 12v line. It says 11.8v in the bios and Asus Probe. However, it says 11.13v in MBM 5.2 and Speedfan (another monitoring program).

I trust my bios and Asus probe to be reporting a fairly accurate reading. However, would a low 12v line affect my overclocking? The system is fine and stable at 2.4ghz from 1.6ghz.

yes

you are way too low ~ try using all 3 power plugs on the board for now, but you need a better PSU. (if the readings are true)

Do you mean Asus Pc Probe? That reports 11.8 to 11.7v. Is that still too low? I remember reading that the Sparkle PSU can be adjusted to put out more power. I can always try that next time I'm bored.

However, my system does run fine. I guess it's just a curiousity thing..

I think PC Probe sucks IMHO, it was reporting my temps alot higher then they were, not sure how it does with voltages though. I like MBM a lot better, it reports temps the same as in my bios.

I couldn't figure out how to adjust my 12v line on my Sparkle FSP350-60BT. Didn't want to do it without detailed instructions.

I just can't figure out why there's 2 different voltage readings for the 12v line. The 3.3v and 5v lines are the same.

I had a sparkle 400watt in mine yesterday. It also reported low 12V, but reported good 5V and 3.3V. Switched to a Antec Truepower 430. 12V is good now, but the 5V and 3.3V arent as good as the sparkles.

I didnt gain anything by switching power supplies however. Oh well, im happy at 2.61Ghz from a 1.8.

I have the same PSU (Sparkle FSP350-60BTS) and my +12V rail is rather low as well, 11.10 - 11.40.

Any solution other than getting another PSU? Anyone tried the pot mod?
