does a fresh engine oil change bring noticable performance enhancement?

i just got a fresh oil change after running 2750miles on my 03 mazda 6. Dad says i would notice a nice smoother ride immediately.. it feels so but I don't know if it's just placebo or not...

is it true?

Did he drain tar out of your engine?

yea everything. filter changed, everything drained.

i think this proves that you are not capable of telling if it is a smoother ride 😀😉

rofl 😉

I was just implying that unless you were running your engine with bazooka joe gum for a lubricant then you're not going to notice a "smoother" ride...

after i changed the oil in my moms car(yeah, seemed like some tar in there geeeez) it'd been a while, and it seemed/felt a lot happier/smoother, not sure how to describe it, but i felt it and heard it 😀

No. Not unless you had no oil, or had not changed the oil in so long that it was like molasses.
