Does something like this exist already? It's a camera bracket in which the camera can be rotated into the portrait or landscape orientation, and the design is modular so that it can take different types of flash arms and rail systems - regular arm for a flash to position the flash high above the camera, dual arms for positioning macro flashes, and swappable rail system for converting into a panorama bracket with full nodal point adjustments. Slap on a motor at the bottom and you've got an automated panorama-taking turret camera.
