Does a FC-PGA Golden Orb work on the Duron?

I just got a Duron, but was wondering if the Golder Orb I have on my P3-600E will work on the duron?

A Golden Orb Socket 462 would be much better as the clip is designed to better attach to your socket.

But would it damage my CPU? I have heard reports of people breaking the seal of their cpu using the wrong coolers.

Yes, it'll work but it will also damage the CPU, the twisting pressure kills the chip

The chrome orb is a modified g'orb. Featured in an article called socket A coolers that don't kill your processor

Yeah, if you want an Orb, get the Chrome Orb. Its much easier to put on. I've worked with both the S370 GORB and the Chrome Orb...have to say that the Chrome Orb is MUCH easier to install
