Does a 32 bit cardbus work in a 16 bit

I have an older laptop with a 16 bit pcmcia card slot. They seem very hard to find. Will a 32 bit cardbus fit and is it compattible.

No. The notches on a 32-bit CardBus card will prevent it from being inserted into a 16-bit PCMCIA slot.
