does a 2U rackmount require a special sized psu?

Hi,

What kind of power supplies fit into 2U rackmounts and where do I find them? Can anyone recommend one? Thanks.

Yes!

Zippy is a good PSU brand for servers. Enhance isn't bad either - I think they were blowing out one of their 2U models on http://www.ewiz.com
Ewiz also has a Zippy made for Chenbro, but it looks like zippys standard 2U. The Zippy is only $92. if you link to it from Froogle. Looks like great prices for high-end products. iStar also has a nice 2U at a good price. Find it at http://www.servercase.com (howard has it linked as KRI, but you have to go to servercase to see the prices (same company). KRI/Servercase has high shipping costs though.

A 2U power supply.

You're getting a case w/o a power supply or need to replace one?

I usually get SuperMicro's with power supplies and if I need a power supply get another SuperMicro/Ablecom to replace it. Perfect fit.
