I have a 802.11B network setup in my house. The Wireless router is in one corner of the house(my office) and my son's computer is about as far away as possible(opposite corner of the house and upstairs) so his connection is not that great to begin with. I've installed a Hi-Gain antenna on his. Anyway, he kept complaining that he would get dropped...one time he came down and was complaining again and I noticed my wife on the 2.4Ghz phone...thinking back, everytime he complained she was on the phone...Does this mean that the phones are interupting his signal? If so, what is the fix?

Nevermind...I should've done a search before putting this up...I see my options are basically few...looks like going to 900Mhz phones is cheapest solution

2.4GHz Phones come in two categories.

Category 1. Little to Medium interferences.

Users who have 2.4GHz tel. in this category think that every thing is OK since it seems to work.
But in reality if you would use Good measuring instruments you would find that the phone depresses the Wireless Network Signal.

Category 2. Big Interferences.

Usually will deem the Wireless Network very unstable, and Unusable.

What to-do?

You might try to play with the Channels of both the Wireless Network and the phone, put the channels numbers as far a part as you can and you might be able to belong to Category One.

Otherwise Upgrade to 5.8GHz, or Downgrade to 900MHz.
