Does 512MB DDR RAM need Win2k or ME to be able to handle the cache?

I read somewhere on this forum that with Windows9x using 512mb or more you may not have enough cache to handle all of your memory. Will Win2k or Win ME be good enough to handle this?

512mb will be fine on any windows version as far as I know. Once you get past that win95, 98, ME can't cache that memory so if you want more memory than 512, I would switch to WinNT or 2000.

Only if you're talking ~1996 chipsets (for the amount of memory you are using here).
