If I could get a cable package that included only the History Channel and the Discovery Channel, I would probably watch more.

FWIW, I have an All-In-Wonder and a set of rabbit ears although I only used them once in the last year to try to watch a football game. I play Dreamcast and watch a lot of DVDs

I watch like 4 shows, plus Capitals hockey on Center Ice. That's about it.

I think most television sucks azz. I don't get into all of those MTV Crapality shows or Big Brother and Joe Millionaire type garbage. Nor am I interested in network television's offerings. I couldn't even tell you what is popular or playing right now. I do, however, enjoy the History Channel and Discovery and TCM and AMC.
Not to say I never watch any network television or other stations like TBS or TNT because I do only not very often. I probably watch only about five hours a week on average. I prefer playing games, chatting and surfing on my computer or the occassional DVD to watching television shows. If there is one thing I am certain of it's that I am not missing much.

Edit: Also one thing I could never imagine doing is rushing home early to see some show like Friends, for instance. It's really not even close to that important for me. I know a lot of people try to adjust their schedule around a t.v. show.

I only watch sports or discovery/TLC/history channel (when they arent showing trading spaces are similar shows).

The only things I ever watch are Late Night with Conan, While You Were Out, and MXC... sometimes a little Adult Swim action.

i used to watch tv a lot, now not so much. i read cnn for news, and i can now afford dvd's of all my favorite tv eps (when is newsradio coming out?!?!?!?!?). i used to watch Friends weekly, but now i don't keep up, as i will probably end up buying all the dvd's anyway.

The extent of my TV watching is occasionally catching the news over at my parents house when I go over there to eat dinner every week, and sometimes watching Barney or Sesame Street with my daughter. I don't have cable, and won't have it until I have disposable income to throw around. Besides, who needs TV when you have bittorrent?
