Dodge SRT-10 video & pics

I would have expected the valve covers to say SRT-10 instead of Viper.

I love it, but I still think it's going to have an EXTREMELY difficult time competing with the L.

The Viper powerplant is simply too expensive to put in a truck, it alone is almost half the cost of a Lightning.

Viper GTS

its not that expensive. The non-viper tuned V10 8L is only a $600 option on Rams. Consider $5,000 worth of upgrades to get it to that level.

It's not just tuning. it's almost an entire new engine. It's like comparing the LT1 in the ZR1 to the Gen III found in the 88-95 Trucks.

Do these things have a reliable tranny yet?

It's got a T-56, so yes.

More info

Wow after reading the article, the numbers are staggering to see the least.
Resting on unique engine mounts, the new V-10 engine delivers 90 percent of its whopping 525 lb.-ft. of torque from 1500 to 5600 rpm.
I would like to see the performance stats though.

A red Viper start button on the dash provides further evidence that this Ram is something special.
:Q😕

Has it been priced yet?

The dumbass cameraman isn't following the damn truck!

Which is good IMO at least when they show the truck accelerating from a roll, it lets you see just how fast it takes off - as where following it kind of lessens the effect of acceleration.
