They are aiming for the lowest price point for a roadster. Your list adds at least another 10K to the MSRP.

170HP is not bad for a roadster. The orginal Miatas had that much as did the orginal MR2s. Roadsters aren't about muscle, they are about being nimble.

miata, solstice, and sky all have ~160-170hp😕

I see some Audi TT in there as well, and a few arches bring the Z4 to mind.

I would also get the Miata over this, or the Solstice GXP which has some muscle.
