Yes, unless you have a little switch installed that let's you have the rears turned off temporarily for things like this.

 
Hear the news about the new 6-speed CTD 3500s? They are all being held because of bad transmissions. My buddy bought one and is fuming about it. He is ready to get back his deposit and go buy a Chevy.

All this time DCX has had tranny problems, why in the world would they let another goof-up get out? The Dodge nameplate is hurt enough because of past transmission problems.
 
I'm not sure why they'd have a problem. My dad's '99 Cummins Ram (one of the first 6 speeds) is still working beautifully. The NV5600 is a nice transmission.

NV5600 is gone, replaced with the G56. The G56 also replaced the NV4500. It's rated lower than the NV5600, unfortuntely.
