Dodge Charger quality?

This is probably the ultimate car that I want. I love the style, it reminds me of 80's luxury cars w/o the rust and old things that come with them. I'm just concerned with reliability and car insurance. And the lowest model I'd go with is the 8 cylinder Hemi versions, none of the crappy 6 cylinder ones. Anyone have one or know someone that has one? I've noticed from the people I've asked that it's a awesome car. Just wondering if there are a lot of lemons. What's a usually problem that comes with Chrysler?

well when they first came out
we had quite a bit of problems with the lx body style (300 charger mag...)
with the electonics of them (lots of flashes to fix the problems)
but now they are pretty stout

most common problem that I see (other than all of the lx have the same of everything inside and out)
leaking trans pan is quite common
alot of ppl bottom out the front support
not as common but happens alot the trans mount cracks (dued to ppl bottoming out)

Does that have something to do with the Powertran warranty that they just released? How much do you pay for insurance and how old are you?

Thanks!

My buddy has an RT, 2006. It is alright, pretty fast but a little big for my taste. Thats why I stuck with the mustang, though its a V6. And I agree with you, while I get crap about owning a V6 every so often, I do agree that the V6 chargers are too underpowered for what they are pushing.

Three local police depts use them for squad cars around here. They seem to be holding up pretty well. I've talked to a few of the guys and they love them.
