Ditto but without Daisy, my wife would kill me if I went with that option package. :D

I've loved this car since I first set eyes on it. Here's to hoping it won't just be a limited production car so I actually have a chance at getting ahold of one.

so the muscle car is back then. Cool.

I mean, what big domestic muscle cars did we have in the 90s? The mustang was around, sure, but that last generation (the one that was replaced by the new stang) was ugly, and most of them on the roads were V6 automatics. Same deal with the camaro. Outside the very high end(corvette, viper), I can't think of any big powerful domestics.

but now we've got the new mustang, GTO (well, we had that for a while, anyway), charger, challenger, camaro (probably be back soon). Magnum, and so forth

It seems to me like they've exploded in these past few years.

Also: Morpheus, I disagree on onw thing: the old mustang was ugly compared to the current gen, but in it's own time it looked pretty nice -- compared to what was out then.

I guess it's a personal thing - I never did like them. It was the front that bothered me, the back looked OK.

But I've got strange taste, very few of my friends agree that my town car (2nd gen) is beautiful . . .

Out of all of these retro muscle cars, I think this one looks the best......425 ponies doesn't sound bad either......

Looks more like the old charger than the new charger does. The old challenger was the hottest mopar evar.

GM has always been late to the game when going full force with an idea.

The General Lee (Dukes of Hazzard car) was a Dodge CHARGER, not Challenger.

This is great news! As someone who owned a '74 Challenger (and wishes he still had it :() I'm glad to see it making a comeback as a fire-breathing, ball busting, tire shredding musclecar!

God, it's beautiful! I may have to buy one instead of a new truck! The dealers will be price-gouging, that's for sure. But man, SIX speed stick! New rear tires every two months, anyone? :D

They all look the same

The Charger does look like a 4 door Mustang...
But the Challenger looks better than all of them IMO.

i've been in love with the thing since I first heard it would be a concept, and then seeing it in person at the Detroit Auto Show this year made me nearly piss my pants. I've got a weird feeling just knowing its going to be real, and looking at it more makes me want to touch it in inappropriate ways when I see one at a dealer. lol
now im looking forward to seeing the pricetag for that R/T model (likely there will be a not-so-powerful version that doesn't feature the 6.1L), as I am looking forward to having the chance to own one around 2012 or so (graduate college 2010, be in army as an officer afterward, meaning I could theoretically afford one).

ooooooo here's to hoping I might be able to own one after it's been on the market for 4 years or so.
