Dodge and Ford discounting their trucks...

Chunkee

Lifer
Ford dealers, 12000 grand off.
Dodge Dealers, at least around here, up to 40%-50% off.

Some great deals on the leftover 2008s...why is GM/Chevy not doing it?

Are they selling like hotcakes?

Obviously if they are not discounting them then they must be selling. I would think they would with the new F-150 out but I guess not.

Because Dodge and Ford both have revised '09 models coming out and want the lots cleared for introductions of the new models.

dodge and ford are trying to get rid of 2008 model year vehicles so they can start selling their better 2009 MY trucks, whereas GM has a new(er) truck out already that they dont need to clear for a newer model

I've seen deals up to $8,000 off. I could get an extended cab sierra (2WD) for around $17,000 locally. A regular cab was going for $14,000.

So damn tempting with another $1500 off for GM points I have stashed up.

That would be $12,500 truck.
