DoD:Source = DoD: Quake + Perpetual Sunniness

Does anyone else think the entire dynamic of the gameplay has changed ? It seems much more faster paced and "quakeish". I remember stuff being alot slower in the original. Also, it seems much brighter, alot fewer nooks and crannies to hide in.

Am I right ? Or did I just suck at the first one and should've played that Quake style also ?

BTW, whenever I try to play the original I get randomly booted from games. Is there any port forwarding or anything I have to do for either of these games ?

Sounds a lot different to me. The original was more realistic than quake by FAR, with many more hiding places. It was much more similar to CoD than to Quake.

I only played DoD1 for a couple of days, and can't really make an honest comparison...
But DoD:S is definately fast paced, and I'm loving it to death.

No... its pretty much like the original except now we have more realistic physics to go with the old bugs... such as plays haulting when they bump into each other.

However, Sniping with a Logitech MX 580 is simply FUN.

sniping is ridiculously easy in DoD:S. and the game is somewhat faster and somewhat slower. it's just different, that's all i can say.

Seems fine to me. Feels a bit faster than CS source does which I like. I absolutely hate the anzio map though.
