DoD:S problem

So my probelm is every few minutes DoD:S will completely freeze up for about 5 seconds, meaning I get shot right in the head. I used to have a similar problem with CS:S but that was fixed when I disabled fast writes. So, any suggestions? Using the latest video drivers. Specs:

A64 2800+
DFI LanParty UT NF3 250GB
BFG 6800 128MB
1GB OCZ pc3200

They seem to be having some issues with it, mine is almost unplayable with the rubberbanding I get.
