DOD:S , children run servers

I cannot believe this crap. I was playing DOD:S for about 2 hrs, then all of a sudden I see this message:

" You have been kicked and banned "

WHAT BULLSH!T!


You know, I would understand if I were cheating, but I wasn't. I had about 4 flag captures, 60 kills, and over 100 deaths, does that sound like a cheater to you? All this on the new map Kalt. I know it is thier right to kick and ban who they want, but damn! Atleast be mature about it. I have no clue what I did. Maybe I killed the admin too much lol. Hell I don't know. But there should be some kind of guidlines for these children to go by even if they are hosting a server. All I can say is they are complete A$$HOLES!!! Wish I knew how to .....nevermind. Anyone else have this problem?

60-100 is a cheating score? They probably didnt want any nubs on the server

I'm not playing for free, I paid for the game. I didn't pay for thier server, no.
If you would have read my post a little more closely, you would have known that I already stated they didnt need a reason. But they are being children, being no standard for kicking or banning. It's like " oh, I got killed by this dude.....I'm going to kick and ban him" . Some spoiled brat I'm sure.

A lot of servers will give you an email address so you can talk to someone about the hows and whys of your ban. You can often get it reversed.
Also, many servers are run by people that hand out admin to all their friends, many of them have no idea how to run a game server and kick/ban on a whim. It sucks but the only answer is to own your own server.

If "children" are running the server, then it's probably not a server you should be playing on. They probably did you a favor so you woulnd't have to deal with immature admins.

As one of those people who pays for a DoD:S server. . . It could have been a number of things. If it was a guild/clan pub server (and which ones aren't?) they usually reserve the slots for members. If the server was full and a member wanted to join then a non-member is going to get the boot. We do that all the time. We drop the person that's been on the shortest amount of time, but I know other servers that will just drop a random pubber. If the server was full at the time you got kicked then that's my guess. Did you try logging back in to see if you were just kicked? Prolly not if you're gut reaction was to post here that the admins are a-holes. The other likely explanation is that you got kick/banned by accident while an admin was trying to kick/ban someone else. The admin tools for DoD:S are exceptionally flaky right now and I've seen this happen a bunch of times. I've watched admins inadvertently ban themselves while trying to get rid of TKers.

It's the same thing, when I jump on a BF clan server. I hear all the clannies on one side crying that their side is losing, and they have the worst scores. I tell them in very blunt terms maybe if they actually tried to play and whined less their side would win. Once I tell them to take a look at the scores, I typically get a quick kick. I still remember getting a lifetime ban on on server for no reason. I don't even remember if I was doing really good or not. Though any time after the first kick I would get the PB banned message. Only on one particular server, and I don't even remember much smack talk the round I got kick. *shrug*

Edit: Also, don't sweat getting kicked off kid servers. It makes it easier to find a server where the admins aren't tantrum throwing children.

happened to me the other day in CS:S. happend enough in the ol' counterstrike. happenned too much in BF1942 (but then again i was good.) took me well over 10 servers to find one in UT2004 that actually accepted that i was good.

its not a new problem, not a problem that will ever go away. but you shouldn't take it hard that hard either, like jag sed, just shrug, refresh, and go on playing. heck i used to be in a tourny of bf1942 with a helluva lotta good guys and we went on banning sprees- going onto a server, owning the server, then watch how each and every one of us got banned from that server. last person to get banned, wins quite fun actually, especially when some servers where banning some of us within a minute of ariving

had one earlyer, funny incident though on CS:S. i got banned form some clan's server by one of its members. but i actually knew the leader from the ol' days, so when i got unbanned and he was in there he went ballistic screaming "WHO THE HELL BANNED TSS?!?!" once somebody confessed, they where kicked from the clan, then kicked and banned form the server permanently with the message that they didnt tolerate noobs. bwahaha good times.
