I am having a problem with Day of Defeat. After logging on I can play for anywhere
from as little as 1 minute to 15 minutes and then the game hangs up and the sound
stutters and sticks at the time of the freeze. It is not a heat, firewall or video card
driver issue, but something is wrong and I can't figure it out. I tried posting this
in the video forum but got no responses. Could it be a problem with the onboard
sound ? I have heard incompatability problems with some motherboards sound
chips. The funny thing is it does not happen with HL 2, Battlefield 2 or Call of Duty 2
or any non multiplayer games. Any suggestion or ideas would be appreciated.
I have an MSI K8N NEO4 board (non sli) and a BFG 7800GT card with the latest
Forceware drivers. I have a second computer with a GigabyteK8NSC939 board and an
ATI X850XT agp card and I don't have any problems at all.
