Documentation for replacing bike's odometer?

I'm down to the last item needed to get my bike ready to sell but before I do it I want to make sure I'm fully repaired. I purchased a new instrument panel (Speedo, Tach, warning lights) to replace my old one which was screwed up when I went down.

My current odometer shows about 7,900 miles. The new odometer reads about 2,900 miles.

I'm thinking that I take a picture of the current odometer installed as it is with the new odometer right next to it. Then I pull it out and take a picture of both odometers side by side. Then I put the new one in and take another picture of the new odometer installed and the old one right next to it. That would help cover me when I go to sell it.

But when I go to sell it, how do I make sure that all the documentation is in place so no one can come back later and say I lied? I see on the back of my TX Title there's the "Odometer Reading" with the 2 boxes,

1. The mileage stated is in excess of its mechanical limits.
2. The odometer reading is not the actual mileage. WARNING - ODOMETER DISCREPANCY

FYI, this is the first vehicle that I'm selling.

You would be required to check the 2nd box ("The odometer reading is not the actual mileage. WARNING - ODOMETER DISCREPANCY"). Technically, all you have to do is check that box, you don't need to provide any photos or other evidence. However, the photos can show why you replaced the cluster and can help reassure potential buyers, so they're still a good idea.
