Are there any good version control applications for the Windows platform? I want to be able to have something like the Windows Briefcase (outdated as it is) in a web-based form.

Call me ignorant, but I'm not familiar with CVS :( Can I do something without a *nix box around? (only have Windows boxes here)

This is for a really simple project, I need to be able to check in/out a few documents so some buddies and I can collaborate on them.

Way back in CS1 they started us with RCS on the Solaris machines. A quick peek at the gnu website tells me they do have Windows binaries available:
http://www.gnu.org/software/rcs/rcs.html

It'll do revision control, but I don't think it'll do Concurrent Version Control (CVS).
