Hmm I have always thought diabetes could be in my future. I workout a lot but I also like some sugar now and them. I urinate roughly 4-6 times a day. I don't really have fatigue issues except after a couple hours of basketball. Nothing abnormal I don't think.

A male taking iron supplements without a diagnosed deficiency is foolish. It can cause permanent neurological damage.

If you're having problems with your iron, try different ligands. Phosphines are strong sigma donors and can increase the electron density around the metal center. Careful, they're known to complex very strongly with dienes, though you can oxidize them off. CO ligands are electron withdrawing by virtue of their strong backbonding.

Whoops, wrong kind of doctor.

I'm a healthcare professional and it's not limited to iron deficiency. It could be other anemias that aren't caused by iron issues, like megaloblastic anemia (vitamin B12, folate deficiency)... It could even be something like thrombocytopenia or leukopenia, which can be signs of serious systemic disease. This is why you don't poll on an internet forum for this stuff. You go see a physician within the next few weeks.

Agreed. This does not sound good at all.

You're not anaemic if you can play basketball for a couple of hours. After I lost a couple of pints of blood, I was seriously anaemic and I couldn't walk up stairs without feeling light headed. It took a few weeks of taking iron pills and doing a lot of sleeping to get my strength back.

Anemia = low blood count, most likely from iron deficiency, less commonly vitamin deficiency.

Easy bruising is different, and MAY result from a problem with your clotting factors in your blood, including platelet function.

Best easy test is a CBC, or complete blood count. This gives you a number of white cells, red cells, and platelet count. Coagulation (clotting tests) are more indirect and can tell you if there is a deficiency there.

Hematology is quite complex and the answers are longer than the patience I have to type them. See a doctor, prepare for some blood work, and give a detailed history.

YOU'VE GOT A TUMOR!

I suggest taking a shotgun (with slugs) and blowing your brains out instead of waiting on a very slow and painful death, just make sure you do a live stream of it. That way we have a video of why you see a doctor instead of some random forum idiot.

Any doctor who would give medical advice to a stranger on an Internet forum is a doctor whose advice you do not want.

/thread. There are no physicians posting here (thought I saw with my quick glance threw the thread for the "known offenders." :)), and as CK said, a doctor really can't give appropriate advice over the Internet to a stranger unless it's "you should go see your doctor." No offense to anyone here, none at all intended, but you shouldn't take anything said in this thread as worrying/relieving as it's all essentially meaningless. While it's wonderful (and I support) to have health literacy education, etc. random opinions over the Internet is not the right away to go about it.
