Doctor's consultation required for WINRAR Problem.

Dear All,

I archived a folder by WIN RAR giving it password protection, and copied it to a portable hard disk. Now when I am trying to open the folder or copy the same folder to my laptop, it says "access Denied". Both computers have XP SP2.

I am able to copy/open other folders which means the hard disk is ok. What should I do? I have already reformatted the hard drive of my desk top from where I copied the archived folder.

Dear Drs.

I took ownership/ gave permission for full control and changed inheritance but still the same problem. When I copy it to desktop from protable hard disk it says you need permission. and sometimes access denied.

Please help somebody.

you could try opening the file from a linux machine...run a live distro like knoppix.
