I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 and would like to purchase a docking station. I took a look at the Targus Universal Docking Station, but it looks like it's had many bad reviews. Does anyone have any recommendations? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks for your reply. I just want to be able to use a larger monitor and not have to keep the laptop open (or to have to open the laptop just to turn on the system). Any ideas?
I'm pretty sure that no matter what laptop you have, you must open the laptop in order to turn it on.
The only exception to this is if you get a docking station that was specifically made for that notebook (and therefore doesn't connect via USB); such as the docking stations Lenovo sells with the Thinkpads.
