Doc Martens

Try this place for Docs. They usually have a decent selection and the shoes they ship are brand new. I've got two pair I bought from them.

I used to own lots of them in my punk days. Some were pretty damn unformfortable and tore the back of my feet to shreads. I had a cool pair of ox blood steel toes that I dyed redder and looked like nobody elses.

When you get them don't forget to put white or red laces in them 😉 Just kidding don't do that unless you want a catch beating. 🙂

I agree with the general concensus...the only way that Sketchers and Doc Martens compare is in looks, quality wise the Docs are simply a much better product...and this is from someone who used to only buy Sketchers because they were half the price, my fiancee convinced me to try some Docs and that was the end of the story.

The only negative is that they only come in full sizes which means if you are an odd size like I am you are pretty screwed. Because of this my next shoes will be either Johnson and Murphys or some Rockports...try to get anything on a deal, if there is a shoe wearhouse store or something near you that is best.

they are nice, and imho they are well worth the money, remember you only get one pair of feet so treat them well 🙂 (same can be said for anything that you wear)

don't forget about grinders, grip fast and nanas, they are all made by the same ppl as docs are.

nana went outta business though

I'd also look at some Clarks of England..........have a pair that are finally wearing out after 15 years of almost daily wear and motorcycle riding. Bought a new pair last week and am again in heaven.

I have a pair and I like them but they are very warm. I only wear them in the winter. But I am hot-blooded and prefer to wear thong sandals when ever possible.
I've noticed that with my steel toe docs. They're warm, feet never get cold in the winter, but almost too warm for spring/summer.

Still, I had been buying boots from AE and my feet would be DYING after only a couple of hours in the lab. I can stand up all day with the Docs and they still feel great.

I'd really like to get another pair, but the price of admission is steep 🙁. I may try some rockports, I've heard good things about them.

I just got a pair of clarkes too, but these were made in China. The quality is not as good as other pairs that I have had.

Docs own.. I spent $130 for a pair back in jr year in HS and still wear them to this day as a jr in COLLEGE. (wearing them now lol)

Durable is damn right! I actually show off to my friends that it was bought 4 years ago and still going strong. The pointy toes are STILL standing up.. As for comfort, Docs may look hard and stiff on the outside but the actual inside of the sole is made of cubic sponges that absorb shock with whole inch of thickness.. (you can sort of see the cubic sponges through the translucent rubber at the bottom)

I strongly advise you against Sketchers, I bought one for $60 just before those docs and they wore out really quickly, looking dull and ugly. The pointy toes quickly receded after a couple of month...

Docs own.. i wish they made dress shoes.. i'd be all over it.
