I just recieved my new KT7A-Raid and 1.2ghz Tbird. When I turn it on the northbridge fan on my MB turns on and the CPU fan also turns on. There is no output on the monitor though. I tryed buying a new KT7A-Raid MB at a local store and the same damn problem. Tryed switching video cards from my AGP to a PCI one. same damn problem. The L1 bridges came unlocked and I was so happy to start OC'ing. Is there anything else I should try before I get a new CPU? I have tryed removing all of my devices and all that. Just wondering if there is anything I could do to the CPU? Thanks

A couple things to try. First, make sure you have the CPU fan plugged into the "Fan1" header. The shipping bios will not let the board boot if a working fan is not connected to that connector and it must run at least 2000 RPM. Also, try to clear the CMOS. Sometimes new boards are quirky and a good ole CMOS reset will help. Good luck. 🙂

With that motherboard you have to make sure that you have a fan plugged into fan header 1. If there is no fan pluged in there and spinning faster than 4000 rpm then the system won't power up. You can get around this by flashing to the latest bios (wz I believe) which allows you to disable the fan protection. Hope this helps!

I had the same problem with a kt7a-raid. It turned out that i had the RAM in the wrong dimm slot. DIMM 1 is on the side of the ide ports and DIMM 3 is on the side of the cpu. check that

Clear CMOS, and the "discharge" your PSU by pressing the power button a few times without the power cord plugged in.

Worked for me.
