There seems to be no button action left in one of my ps2 controllers... I really have to push the buttons down hard to get anything to happen.... makes playing sports games tough where you need to react fast...

I had the buttons go bad on many different controllers N64, Dreamcast, SNES but I must say PS or PS2 controllers seemed to go bad faster. Never had problem with XBox yet but I figure a button will go dead eventually.

Easy-peasy

Take it apart, use a pencil eraser, clean the contacts. We used to do it all the time with nes and snes controllers.

Ever notice how worn out and disgusting-looking the controllers at stores are? Next time you go to your local Wal-Mart, step into the electronics section, and take a good look at those controllers. I cannot accuratelty describe how gross they are.

EDIT: The demo units... take a look at the controllers for the demo units.

Yep, I know exactly how they look and feel. The buttons and parts of the controller are all shiny and worn out due to so many people touching the and The buttons feel like they won't work either.
