Do your NIC link lights stay lit even after you turn off your PC?

I've noticed sometimes the NIC LED's stay lit even after I power down my PC.
Not only that, but the LED's on the router are on too.

No, I don't have WOL enabled on any of them.

Thats a false generalization.

My Intel Server and Management PCI NIC's stay on all the time, as long as the power supply is set to on.

The onboard in one of my systems does, doesn't in another, and the PCI doesn't in another.

When you turn your computer "off" it's not really off. It's in soft-off mode, designed to allow wake on LAN, wake on PCI device, et cetera; it's part of the ATX specification and is why your power button goes to the motherboard instead of the PSU. If you unplug the power cable or hit the PSU switch, the light should go off.
