Do your local liquor store have crazy deals like mine?

I usually do all my shopping for alcohol at a local liquor store here named "Marcellos". Not only do they almost always have some crazy deals, but I also haggle with the people there and get discounts. Just wondering if any of yall have something to that extent near ya, I picked up a case of Sam Adams: Cherry Wheat (24 case) for $10.00 yesterday and I love the stuff . :beer:

I have also picked up cases of beer for 3-4 bucks before (24 case) and awesome hard liquor for 3 bucks a 5th.

My liquour store is regulated by the gov't. No haggling for me.

AND they take my drivers licence info every damn time I buy booze! They think I'm buying for minors, which I am sometimes, but not often.

And tons tons more I cant remember. If you are ever in Baton Rouge, LA or Lafayette, LA you should stop by there, its random when they have the crazy deals but they make it easy to be an alcoholic 😀

By the look of the rest of the items in the list, I'm assuming this is one of those spiked drinks & not actual Jack. The owner would be losing so much money.

What happened was that the corks were broken on some of them out of a case, and some of the labels were messed up. It was the real thing though, I had some crazy nights on that gallon 😉
 
dad used to own a liquor store, I dont think he ever had crazy deals. It was fun though, whenever I visited him (when i was really young), I would look at the porn. It was one of those things, I had no idea what the hell it was, but I know he told me not to look at them, so I had to. I'm sure his customers were always like who the hell is that 5 year old kid running around the store with "Where the Boys Aren't 6".

I've personally never seen the gallon size stocked in my store; only carries up to 1.75l. I would of picked up every available broken bottle there. that price is like 90%+ off!!!:evil:
 
Our state-run liquor store has a crazy deal, but not in a good way.

They charge a "Johnstown Flood Emergency Tax" of 18%. The flood was in 1936. Most of us are pretty sure the emergency has passed by now.

Agreed. All their booze is overpriced. However, the good thing about Virginia is that beer and wine are available in almost every grocery store in the state. Several years back, K-Mart even sold wine. I had to laugh when I saw their $98.00 bottle of Dom Periogne (sp) at K-Mart. 😀

Every store sells liquor here, except like wallgreens. Albertsons has quite the nice liquor section, big and decent priced. I will shop at Albertsons after 8:00 pm (when Marcellos closes).

yea my gf lives in VA and i live in MD. i never buy liquor in VA at ABC because of the price. the past month they had great sales. i probably purchased about 5 handles of captain morgans the entire month. they were only like $17.95 on sale, regularly 22.95.

 
i always wonder how small liquor stores stay open here in LA they are all over the place, but everyplace sells liquor and i have never found any great deals at the small ones, maybe i should keep trying
