I don't normally...only when I go to the beach/golfing.

UK has a similar climate to us.

It's a cream that screens out the harmful sun rays. Happy?

But it IS gross, its this slimey cream trash that you put everywhere and if you roll in the sand, it makes you look like a sand people person.

You also don't get skin cancer if you use it.

I use it, a low SPF anytime I'm out in the sun and I still tan perfectly fine. But I don't burn and I lower my risk of skin cancer a billion times.

We BATHE our kids in it when they go outside.

my face moisturizer has an spf of 15 in it that i wear everyday. i do not wear SPF on my body unless i am in HOT sun.. i.e. caribbean or hawaii type sun.

You guys must not get the same quality products that we get... or you use way too much of it when/if you do use it.

While you may have a higher sun tolerance, you aren't 100% protected.

I dont use sunscreen. I firmly believe it actually causes more problems while not preventing cancer at all. I can't really back that up with hard evidence but looks like the mainstream medical crowd can't back up their claim that sunscreen prevents skin cancer.

A fact is melanoma rates are increasing rapidly in Western countries in particular. And these are coincidentally the same countries who publically push for sunscreen usage. There isn't much of a skin cancer problem in developing countries where they don't have such ready access to sunscreen products.

I'm a computer guy. There are no windows here and I have to wear it or my skin will burn on the way to my car if I'm not careful.

Doesn't mean it can't happen and that you're not susceptible to skin cancer.

I lived with 5 asians last year.. if you are out side long enough you will get burned.

actually you are onto something. sunscreen let's us stay out in the sun for prolonged periods of time because we feel we are "safer" when in reality that "prolonged time" may be what is causing the increase skin cancers.

I tend to put it on in the late morning. For the last few weeks I've been doing a TON of hard labor outside at night and on the weekends (massive landscaping project, playground for the little ones, etc). I have a pretty nice tan built up at this point, but I started off with some heavy sunscreen.

I am a brownie and raised in soflo... I haven't had a sunburn or need to buy sunscreen since I was born.

I use that saved money to buy speedos.
