i have done this forever and i think it's fine

but only if i am wearing the pants to sit around at home or in the office

nobody has ever seemed to notice or complain

OK, first there are caveats to my response. This is during non-sweating months of the year and only for denim. I will wear denim jeans twice before washing them again. Any other kind of trousers I only wear once, regardless if it a sweating month or not. Any external soiling breaks the rules and require an immediate wash.

I wear sweats in the winter. If they are dirty or sweaty then into the washer. If not then I like to conserve on laundry. I don't do stinky or gross.

I wear one pair of work pants per week unless I completely destroy them. That includes summer too. They feel gross about midweek, but clean pants would be fucked up before most of you left the house for work, so it isn't worth the extra wash. Off duty, I wear pants for two days usually, maybe as much as four in the cool months.

Back int he day I used to wash my jeans everyday. I'd wear them out not from overwear, but from washing them too much. Now, I wash my jeans once a week, or every other week. And, it's perfectly fine. I don't feel dirty, etc. I've got to wash my dress pants every time though. They are different. I had a friend whgo would wear one boxer short multiple days. Now that is gross.

Jeans are more comfortable the second day you wear them. Even more comfortable on the third day, but stat to smell on the third day.

I wear slacks to work and those get changed every day.

Seats can be worn until you feel like changing them.

Levi's CEO says you should never wash Denim.

Unless you spill something nasty on it I guess.
IMO this applies to fancy designer jeans, and not so much your typical Levi's. Even so, you should wash denim jeans just every once in a while as long as you don't soil it. I actually think machine drying jeans is a lot worse than the washing itself.
Do guys wear dress trousers just once and then take them to the dry cleaner??

Hell, I'll wear jeans three days in a row - so long as they don't get soiled (eh, a day less in the summer).
I dress or dress casual pants often, so, IDK.
