$485 +$50 for $334 of gold? What am I missing?

You're not missing anything. But people willingly overpay for dumb collector stuff. I'm not selling mine to Penn but I know plenty people who are. Penn did similar deal for the gold Mercury Dime and many people made $250 on that deal.

These coins can be sold for more than their list price. Not sure if this coin is going to be sought after though. The Mercury coin isn't doing so well.

People on eBay are dumb and after fees, you're not going to make anything. Plus, you can get scammed on eBay. $50 at Penn Metals is guaranteed and easy. If you sold the Mercury Dime, Platinum Eagle, Liberty Medal, and now this Standing Liberty Quarter to Penn Metals this year, you could've made $500 for about 5 minutes of your time.

I bought the Standing Liberty Quarter because I like the exposed boob design so I'm not concerned about the future resale value.

It's 100% legit. Penn Metals is known for doing this for mint offerings in the past.
