My cousin died recently. He was only 22 but he had told him mom that if he ever died he wanted two songs played at his funeral. I never thought about it until now. I don't know what songs I would like played at mine. Something that relays melancholy I think....Or some Butthole Surfers. :)

What do you want played at your funeral?

I'll be dead. I won't care if they drop me in a shallow unmarked grave and forget about me.

Marky got with Sharon
Sharon got Cherice
She was sharin' Sharon's outlook on the topic of disease
Mikey had a facial scar
Bobby was a racist
They were all in love with dyin'
They were doin' it in Texas
Tommy played piano like a kid out in the rain
Then he lost his leg in Dallas
He was dancin' with a train
They were all in love with dyin'
They were drinking from a fountain
That was pourin' like an avalanche comin' down the mountain.
CHORUS:
I don't mind the sun sometimes
The images it shows
I can taste you on my lips and
Smell you in my clothes
Cinnamin and sugary
Like softly spoken lies
You never know just how you look
Through other people's eyes.
Some will die in hot pursuit
In firey auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche comin' down the mountain.
CHORUS
Another Mikey caught a knife
While arguing in traffic
Flipper died a natural death
He caught a nasty virus
Then there was the ever present
Football player-rapist
They were all in love with dyin'
They were doin' it in Texas
Holly caught a bullet
But it only hit his leg
Well, it should have been a better shot and
Hit him in the head
They were all in love with dyin'
They were drinkin' from a fountain
That was pourin' like an avalanche comin' down the mountain
CHORUS

I would like My Way from Sinatra.

Lyrics:

And now, the end is near, and so I face, the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear,
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain.
I've lived, a life that's full, I've traveled each and every highway.
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention.
I did, what I had to do, and saw it through, without exemption.
I planned, each charted course, each careful step, along the byway,
and more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew,
When I bit off, more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up, and spit it out.
I faced it all, and I stood tall,
and did it my way.

I've loved, I've laughed and cried,
I've had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing.
To think, I did all that, and may I say --- not in a shy way,
"Oh no, oh no not me,
I did it my way".

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things, he truly feels,
And not the words, of one who kneels.
The record shows, I took the blows ---
And did it my way!

I did it my way.

I secretly hate everyone I know, so I want a stipulation in my will that says they don't get jack unless they sit through a playing of the collected works of Coldplay at my memorial. That oughta learn em.
