Do you visit any major attractions by your house?

I grew up within walking distance to Coral Castle but never really bothered to go. I know the story behind it and see quite a bit of tourists looking for it, but it just never really interested me. Next time I head back home during a break I might go visit, because half the time someone finds out where I'm from they ask me how it is (and really, there isn't much else to see in the area unless you like farms and undeveloped land).

I grew up and live in Hawaii (O`ahu)...been to pretty much everything as far as major attractions...

We don't really have what I consider a "major" attraction, but I've been to a lot of the touristy stuff in the area.

Not much for "major attractions" locally, but Yosemite is less than 2 hours away and we make the trip at least once per year. About 3 hours drive is Sequoia/Kings Canyon Nat'l Park which I like better than Yosemite and is usually far less crowded. Haven't been there in a few years though.

I lived in Dearborn, MI for 20 years, I used to visit Greenfield Village at least every year. The last few years during the muzzle loader festival or the car shows. (BTW-It's now called The Henry Ford, but I refuse to call it that.) It and the Henry Ford Museum make for quite a view of life here over the last 300 years.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway is 20 to 25 minutes away. I've been to the track and museum before, but in my 39 years, I have never attended a race.

Let's see if anyone knows their U.S. history.

Fort Meigs
Fallen Timbers (now a large strip mall)

Well, that's about it, in this area.

Another major attraction?

Cedar Point is an hour away. 🙂

I live in Michigan. There are none

You need to look around better.

My family and I have been to Grand Rapids several times and love it. Not included in the links is camping, fishing, Detroit Science Center, Cranbook Science Center. The Natural History Museum in Ann Arbor, The Detroit Zoo, College sports not just footbal and basketball, Minor League baseball, The lighthouses that dot our coastlines. I will stop now because I pretty much proved you wrong. Though I am sure you will come back with some bullshit reason like I hate that stuff or it is boring or it is too far away. 🙄

I am basically 10min-3hrs away from anything worth doing in the country.

Only thing I dont do is the amusement parks unless someone is visiting from out of town.

A mighty Michigan defender!

Only major "attractions" I'm familiar with are a cheese shop (which is really lame - they're mostly a reseller of cheeses that others make - they only make their own cheese curd, cheddar, and maybe mozzarella, but I'm not sure about the latter. And, the state land behind me is sort of an attraction. I visit it fairly frequently.

Not really. I live near the Niagara Escarpment but I rarely visit the parks there anymore. Used to when I was a kid but not today. I also don't really visit Toronto outside of work.
