Do you use the ignore feature?

Nope. Using technology instead of self control is a sign of weakness. I prefer the manual method.

I do not. I am not easily annoyed by comments on an internet forum

No.
It is interesting to see change over time or for that matter the lack of change.
Of course depending on the poster.

Nope. Using technology instead of self control is a sign of weakness. Yup.
An even bigger sign of weakness is "ignoring" someone, then reading and replying to their posts anyway.

Yeah I definitely use my ignore list, but I generally use it to remind myself to approach certain members responses with caution when they post, that being said some of them I will completely ignore, in L&R I read everyones posts. Some of them I will only read when I feel like being entertained by someone trying to insult me. That's my system.

Eh. What the hell do you care what other people think? I don't see the reason to have an ignore list. If I don't want to read something I skip it. But it does appear that I need to start posting in L&R now.

Well said.

I wish I was more like you. One of my many weaknesses is I can easily get riled up by forum comments. I then have to tell myself the forum content doesn't really matter* and there's no reason for me to care or become agitated.

Mainly for the social forums. The technical forums have some really smart and involved people posting, so if anything I try and pay extra attention when reading those. Sadly, much of what is discussed still goes over my head.

No it rarely matters anyways. Whatever I'm trying to ignore would get quoted anyways.

No, I like to experience the forum as it really is. No censorship.

I also think posting an ignore list shows poor taste.

Also I'd like to add you're pretty thin-skinned if you can dish it out but can't take it back.

no, i speak my points, often it leads to clarifying and then i stop since any further debate becomes a waste of time.

lol. of course i use it

all you guys who seem so proud not to, do you also watch commercials when you can fast forward, or scan channels one by one, even though you know there is a set of 20 channels you know you will NEVER watch? please...

there are people on here whose posts or opinions I know are stupid or troll, so why wouldn't I filter them out? it's not a matter of being able to "take it," it's a matter of why waste my time? I just wish it would filter out thread's on the main forum page. I'd love if I didn't have to see another stupid techs thread ever again. but I'm sure all you HAL haters really love having to see his threads so you can go in and whine lol

That's completely true, most of the people that claim to hate me and want to ignore me are normally the first people to reply to me threads :D. They're basically my fans.

I don't use it, but there is a very small handful of posters that I am tempted to put on it.

They're just under the incorrect assumption that you'll go away with enough harassment. However, you thrive on all the attention, so they're just "feeding the troll".

11 guys on there now.

And not just regular trolls either, but fellas who are so incredibly stupid or assholish that they cant possibly contribute anything to any thread here.
Problem is they are so antagonistic that everybody quotes them and ignoring is useless.

Also:
Only weak minded fools use the ignore feature. These are the types of people who are completely incapable of any form of self control, and thus, must rely on software to do what normal people can do on their own. To put it simply, they are intellectually inferior. Everyone knows this.

No one on the ignore list, though there are many people here that I don't bother with.
