Do you use the AMD CPU driver?

or do you use what ships with windows? What is the point of having the AMD driver if one is not using quiet and cool?

Do you mean the dual core optimizer or the cpu driver? They are two different things. You can use the cpu driver and if you do not want Cool and Quiet enabled it can be turned off in the bios of your motherboard. The dual core optimizer is what cmdrdredd is referring to, I believe. I use the optimizer and the cpu driver with Cool and Quiet set to off in the bios.

yea u do need the amd cpu driver, fixed stuttering problems in some games for me.

I'm a bit confused with this. I have an opteron 170...and I downloaded the

AMD Opteron? Processor with AMD PowerNow!? Technology Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (x86 and x64 exe) 1.3.2.16

Is this all that I need? I didn't see anything else listed for XP
